Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) have exploded in popularity in the last year. Digital art given value on crypto blockchains have certainly benefited a great number of crypto lovers. The power to buy, stake, and sell for real payoff has become a trend like no other. NFTs on their own weren’t the only reason for their success. Development teams saw an opportunity to create NFT Marketplaces to make things easier for the average creator and investor to engage in the NFT world. The most popular NFT Marketplace, OpenSea, has prompted other NFT Marketplaces to join the competition adding value on other blockchains. Cronos, a newly launched blockchain, just gained its first NFT Marketplace, Ebisu’s Bay. Let’s explore this marketplace more in depth.

Ebisu’s Bay

The NFT marketplace is set to launch in two days at the time of this article. The Ebisu’s Bay team wants to empower investors and collectors to trade their NFTs on Cronos. Recently they have partnered up several Cronos projects to show their support. Projects include Petite Planets, Cronos Crows, and Cropunks, but it’s just the beginning. With new NFT projects entering the competition each day, having a centralized marketplace is even more important.

Founding Member NFTs

To celebrate the launch of Cronos and their NFT Marketplace, they created three kinds of commemorative NFTs; Cronies, Founding Member and VIP Founding Member. Each bring with it, their own benefits like reduced fees or staking as seen below.

Ebisu’s Bay’s mission is to bring as much value and utility to our founding members as possible. They will continue to make partnerships and do promotions which will benefit founders. In addition to that, 50% of all service fees collected on the platform will go into a rewards pool and split evenly amongst VIP founders. There is a limit to 10,000 Founder NFTs and 1000 VIP NFTs.

For any successful crypto project, it’s important to be transparent and listen to your community. Ebisu’s Bay understands this and takes recommendations from the community. In their discord, the team takes time to answer questions and has even done giveaways. It will be interesting to see how Ebisu’s Bay does in the future. It definitely seems promising.
